Get answers to common questions about Root Touch-Up.

Most clients book Root Touch-Ups every 4–6 weeks depending on regrowth speed, contrast and shade. Fine or fast-growing hair may need more frequent visits, while low-contrast styles can often extend to eight weeks with Sam’s recommendation.

Yes—Sam analyzes your current tone, porosity and previous formula, then custom-blends dye for a seamless match. Exact results depend on prior color, fading and hair health; a brief consultation ensures the closest possible match.

A typical Root Touch-Up appointment takes about 30–60 minutes, depending on regrowth amount and processing time. Small rootlines are quicker; more extensive regrowth or additional toning may extend the visit slightly.

We assess hair condition before coloring and choose gentle formulas when needed. For compromised hair, Sam may recommend restorative treatments, a patch test or alternative techniques to protect integrity while refreshing color.

Use color-safe shampoo and conditioner, avoid hot-water washes, and protect hair from sun and chlorine. Sam may recommend salon glosses or at-home color-safe products to prolong tone and keep roots seamlessly blended.

Root Touch-Ups focus on regrowth but can be adjusted to blend slightly wider sections or refresh lowlights. For full coverage or major color changes, Sam will recommend a full color service for optimal results.
